Paper Plate Planets Craft for Kids
Looking for space crafts for your preschooler’s space theme? These paper plate planets make a great addition as an easy, low-prep art activity.
There isn’t much in terms of directions when it comes to crafts this simple, but I knew I needed to share it nonetheless, so anyone planning their space preschool theme can remember to add it to their schedule.
All you need is some washable paint, paintbrushes, and paper plates!
I’ve noticed that my son soaks in more information when his hands are busy, so I love to have discussions about our topic of choice during easy crafts like this one. Not something so involved that it takes all of his attention, but since he’s 4, simply sitting and listening to Mom teach is still far too boring for his busy little mind.

Paper Plate Planets Craft for Kids
I set out intending to make only one or 2 planets, but my son actually insisted that we complete all 8. It was adorable! He knew exactly what colors he wanted them to be, and enjoyed telling me random facts about each one. Talk about cute!
