Hot Chocolate Sensory Bin for Toddlers and Preschoolers
This hot chocolate sensory bin is the perfect Winter sensory activity for toddlers and preschoolers to explore their senses and play pretend this holiday season.
Sensory tables are all the rage at the moment, especially the IKEA Flisat table. Normally I’m able to push past peer pressure and just do our own thing, but I can’t lie – I totally want one of those tables. Like, bad.
I’ve been trying to get my hands on one since the beginning of the “school” year, with no luck. They’ve been sold out in our area this whole time!
In a group dedicated to sharing ideas for these sensory tables, I saw someone post a hot chocolate sensory setup, and immediately fell in love. How adorable!
So, while we don’t have the fancy wooden table, my son had a blast with this Winter sensory bin, and it went perfectly with his Hot Cocoa Stand dramatic play bundle.

He had an absolute blast scooping cups of hot cocoa and eating the cereal. He’s been asking to play with it every day since! Unfortunately, the shelf life isn’t as long as his usual sensory bins, but that’s okay. We’ll definitely be making this again and again over the years.
